身兼國民黨主席的新北市長朱立倫昨（二十二）日在議會市政總質詢前受訪，針對立法院副院長洪秀柱訪美議題表示，黨的角色就是全力支持黨提名的候選人，未來每項工作都會全力支持，所有的協調工作也會把它做好，至於去美國訪問之事，朱立倫說：「我想洪副院長已經說得很清楚，會做完整且全盤的思考，有決定後就會跟大家報告。」
媒體也針對黨跟洪副院長雙方有雙頭馬車的感覺？對此，朱立倫則回覆，「不會啦！我想大家目標相同會繼續向前邁進，現在最重要的是趕快爭取所有民眾對我們的支持跟認同。」
